Long Stem Roses

Flora: Rose Variety: any Materials: Copper, Glass, LEDs, electronics, solar cells Description: Long Stem Roses are elemental embodiments of my solar powered artwork - a single flower, one solar panel, and a simple metal base. The circuit board and battery are contained in a small glass vial at the base of the stem. The vial is held in a stable metal stand. A cork stopper holds the stem in the vial and seals the electronics from the elements, enabling these pieces to live outside. Long Stem Roses can be any variety. The variety of the rose is determined by the colors of the LEDs in the flowers. Long Stems ALSO come in a variety of different patinas, a few of which are shown here. And to make things as complicated as possible, I have several different sizes of flowers as well as different color choices for the vial that contains the electronics. Please contact me for details.
