Tulips

Flora: Tulip Variety: any Materials: Copper, Glass, Steel, LED's, electronics, solar cells Description: Tulips are single flowers and bulbs, held by a powdercoated steel stand. Originally a commissioned piece, I liked them enough to make some more. The flowers lend themselves very well to the artwork, and borrow from some older techniques that I originally developed for Roses. The leaves are a bit more difficult, as the solar panel needs to have enough of an angle to catch sunlight through a window. Outside, its easy, and these Tulips are made to be indoor/outdoor compatible. I don't know (yet) what LED colors will work best with Tulips. I've built some purple Tulips, and anticipate many of the same color combinations that I use for Long Stem Roses. Price: $575
