| Electrically Engineered Corn |
| This installation piece appeared on the playa at Burning Man in 2001. There were a total of twelve stalks, each with two ears of corn. The husks on the ears are peeled back slightly to reveal the glass cobs underneath. A total of 44 individually lit kernels on each ear cycle through 14 different chasing, popping, and glowing sequences. Each stalk has one large solar panel and stands roughly 8 feet tall. Small bells jingle in the wind and finish off the sculpture as the tassle elements on the top of each stalk. NFS: these pieces have been sold |
