My favorite part of this design is how it allows people to hold and inspect the glowing berry optic; the deep red and blue colors mix and refract in very subtle patterns that let you see a broad array of purple colors as the light bounces and bends through the hand-made berry glass seeds. These are definitely all about the purple, but they also look great as a deep purple-black when you have the light turned off.
Each drop-style berry pendant has a rechargeable battery that sits in a magnetic clasp worn behind the neck. The black nylon lanyard is soft, pliable, and hangs comfortably and securely on the wearer. A twist of the clasp turns the light on and off, and the battery can be easily removed and recharged with an included USB charger. The berry will glow continuously for ~40 hours per charge, and slowly turns red as the battery runs down.
I'm offering three stock sizes that loosely correspond to 18", 20", and 24" pendant lengths which will place the berry at an upper, middle, and lower position on the wearer's sternum. I prefer the short size myself and find that it puts the berry just within my line of sight when I tuck my chin. Custom sizes available on request.
The glass berry is handmade by me in front of a lampworking torch. I start by forming the individual seeds one at a time, then combine these in a crucible to a rough berry shape. This is followed by a final shaping and finishing step back at the torch.
